About this design
A funny DD-214 mug and shirt reading DD-214 BLANKET PROTECTION DO NOT DISTURB AT 0500 inside a certificate border, printed to order.
This design reads DD-214 BLANKET PROTECTION DO NOT DISTURB AT 0500 inside a double-lined certificate border. In military folklore, no piece of field gear is warmer or more comforting than the mythical DD-214 blanket—the separation document that guarantees nobody can knock on your door before dawn for physical training, recall formations, or weekend duty watch.
Setting the joke inside a clean stamp-style frame with DO NOT DISTURB AT 0500 at the bottom makes it a natural fit for a morning coffee mug or a relaxed weekend tee. Every veteran who ever stood in a dark parking lot at 0445 waiting for accountability formation understands the relief of sleeping past five o'clock. Because the DD Form 214 is universal across the armed forces and contains no restricted branch seals, it is an easy, high-spirited gift for ETS separation parties, military retirements, Father's Day, or Christmas stockings.
This framed badge is printed to order on our heavyweight cotton tees, long-sleeve shirts, pullover hoodies, ceramic coffee mugs, and vinyl stickers.

What is the 'DD-214 blanket' joke in military culture?
In veteran humor, the 'DD-214 blanket' refers to the DD Form 214 separation certificate issued under Department of Defense Instruction 1336.01, which officially ends a service member's active-duty obligation and protects them from 0500 morning formations, duty rosters, and recall to the barracks.
What products carry the Protected by DD-214 design?
Because the certificate border and multi-line badge include fine dashed lines, this design is printed to order on ceramic coffee mugs, heavyweight cotton tees, long-sleeve shirts, pullover hoodies, and vinyl stickers.
