About this design
A Vietnam Era veteran hat and shirt honoring 1955–1975 military service worldwide, embroidered on caps and printed on heavyweight cotton.
This design reads VIETNAM ERA VETERAN in clear, wide capitals. Nearly nine million Americans served on active duty during the Vietnam era, and well over half of them were stationed outside Southeast Asia—holding the line in West Germany and South Korea, patrolling the Atlantic and Mediterranean, maintaining strategic aircraft, or running stateside training and logistics bases that kept the military moving.
Many of those veterans hesitate to wear a standard Vietnam cap because they do not want to imply they served in-country, yet they served honorably during the same statutory wartime period. Adding the word ERA solves that problem with complete honesty. It lets a veteran acknowledge their 1964–1975 or 1955–1975 service accurately, and it gives sons, daughters, and grandchildren a thoughtful gift for Father's Day, birthdays, or Veterans Day when their relative served in Europe, stateside, or at sea during the war years.
Our dad hats, mesh-back trucker hats, beanies, and polo shirts are finished with direct embroidery. The heavyweight tees, long-sleeve shirts, hoodies, ceramic mugs, and stickers are printed to order.

What is the difference between a Vietnam veteran and a Vietnam Era veteran under VA rules?
Under 38 U.S.C. § 101(29) and 38 CFR § 3.2(f), the Vietnam era covers two active-duty windows: November 1, 1955, through May 7, 1975, for those who served in the Republic of Vietnam, and August 5, 1964, through May 7, 1975, for those who served anywhere else. Both groups are wartime veterans under federal law, and many who served outside Southeast Asia choose 'Vietnam Era Veteran' out of respect for those who served in-country.
Does Vietnam Era service qualify as wartime service for VA pension and benefits?
Yes. Under 38 CFR § 3.2(f), active duty between August 5, 1964, and May 7, 1975—regardless of duty station—is a recognized period of war for VA benefits, including Veterans Pension under 38 U.S.C. § 1521.
