About this design
A Post-9/11 veteran hat and tee for those who served on or after September 11, 2001, embroidered on caps and printed on cotton.
Post-9/11 veteran stacks POST-9/11 over VETERAN with the rule between, and it is the busiest line in the range because of the hyphen and the slash. Those characters are part of how the era is written in federal law, so we kept them instead of flattening the mark to POST 911.
The generation this names is the one that enlisted after the towers fell and then served through two decades of deployments that rarely had a clear front line. The design does not name Iraq, Afghanistan, or any individual operation. It names the era, which is the part that stays true whether someone served in 2003 or 2019.
As with every Truth Veteran mark, this is typography only. No branch seal, no campaign medal, no unit patch, no official insignia, and no implication that the item is endorsed by any agency. It is a hat and a shirt that say what the wearer already knows, and the build quality is the same across the range: Yupoong caps with direct embroidery, Comfort Colors 1717 tees with a direct-to-garment print.

What does the Post-9/11 era cover?
Federal law ties the era to active duty on or after September 11, 2001. The Post-9/11 GI Bill is codified at 38 U.S.C. § 3311, and the PACT Act toxic-exposure provisions at 38 U.S.C. § 1120 and 38 CFR § 3.320 extend presumptions to a long list of post-9/11 service locations. Our Post-9/11 collection page links the underlying citations.
Why is there a hyphen and a slash in POST-9/11?
That is how the era is written in the statute and in VA guidance, so the design reproduces it rather than simplifying it to POST 911. At embroidery scale the hyphen and slash are the smallest elements on the cap and are sized up slightly so they do not close up in thread.
