About this design

A Panama 1989 veteran hat and shirt reading PANAMA 1989 above VETERAN, marking the U.S. intervention that removed Manuel Noriega.

PANAMA 1989 sits above a gold rule and VETERAN on this layout. In December 1989, the United States launched Operation Just Cause in Panama, a short, intense intervention aimed at removing Manuel Noriega and protecting the canal. The fighting lasted into January 1990 and remained one of the defining deployments of the late Cold War for the service members who took part.

Veterans of that deployment rarely find their operation on a shirt. This one is for them, and for families who want a specific, understated marker of a service period that ended quickly but stayed with the people who were there. It suits a reunion, a birthday, or everyday wear.

Our dad hats and mesh trucker caps carry the lettering in direct embroidery. The garment-dyed heavyweight tees, ceramic mugs, and vinyl stickers are printed to order.
