How were tank crews trained during the First World War?
According to the National Park Service, Camp Colt was established at Gettysburg in March 1918 to train soldiers to work with and pilot tanks, which were then a new invention of the First World War. The camp received a Renault FT-17 tank and operated until the war ended in November 1918.
